One of the most popular variants of this technology is the ESRGAN (Enhanced Super Resolution Generative Adverserial Network) neural network. The essence of her work is simple: it enlarges the original image 2, 4, 8, or 16 times, and then, based on self-study, “draws” the picture and adds realistic details.
However, the self-learning of neural networks is not ideal and sometimes fails, leading to insignificant bugs. Anyway, neural networks already know how to improve the quality of textures, correctly “translate” the resolution and aspect ratio to FullHD, and use modern anti-aliasing technologies.
